Evergreen Lodge, a newly renovated 41-room hotel in Trout Lake, Michigan, is seeking a dependable Maintenance and Groundskeeping Worker to assist with the upkeep, appearance, and operation of the property.
Evergreen Lodge seeks a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of hotel buildings, guest rooms, grounds, equipment, and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities include supervising and scheduling maintenance personnel; assigning and inspecting work orders; planning and implementing preventive maintenance programs; inspecting hotel facilities to identify repair and safety needs; coordinating repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, appliances, and mechanical equipment; troubleshooting maintenance issues; coordinating outside contractors; maintaining inventories of maintenance supplies and replacement parts; maintaining maintenance records and equipment service logs; ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies; responding to emergency maintenance situations; training and evaluating maintenance staff; and coordinating with housekeeping, front desk, and management to ensure hotel facilities remain safe, functional, and well maintained.
Schedule: 35-40 hours per week. Weekend and holiday work may be required based on business needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience in hotel, commercial building, or facility maintenance, including experience supervising or leading maintenance personnel.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license.

The following terms and conditions apply to the permanent Maintenance Supervisor position:
- Single Workweek for Computing Wages: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
- Pay Frequency: Employees will be paid on a biweekly basis.
- Payroll Deductions: The employer will make all deductions from the employee’s wages required by federal, state, and local law. Any voluntary deductions will be made only with the employee’s authorization and in accordance with applicable law.
- Tools, Supplies, and Equipment: The employer will provide, without charge, all tools, supplies, equipment, and personal protective equipment necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Work Schedule: This is a permanent, full-time position consisting of 40 hours per week. Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and emergency work may be required based on operational needs.
