Evergreen Lodge, a newly renovated 41-room hotel in Trout Lake, Michigan, is seeking a friendly and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our team as we prepare to welcome guests.
Responsibilities include greeting guests, checking guests in and out, answering and directing phone calls, making and modifying reservations, processing payments, responding to guest inquiries, providing information about hotel services and local attractions, maintaining guest records, handling basic administrative tasks, and assisting with guest requests to ensure a positive guest experience.
The Front Desk Receptionist will help maintain a professional, welcoming atmosphere while providing excellent customer service and supporting daily hotel operations.
Schedule: 35-40 hours per week. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
Qualifications:
- Customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel reservation software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Compensation: $16.00-$17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Period of Employment: October 15, 2026 to July 14, 2027
Overtime: $24.00-$25.50 [Overtime may be available and will be paid according to applicable law].

- Single Workweek for Computing Wages: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
- Pay Frequency: Workers will be paid on a biweekly basis.
- Payroll Deductions: The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck that are required by federal, state, and local law. Any deductions not required by law will be disclosed in advance and will comply with applicable H-2B regulations.
- Transportation and Subsistence (50 Percent): Upon completion of 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse workers for transportation and daily subsistence expenses from the place from which the worker came to work for the employer, whether in the United States or abroad, to the place of employment, as required by 20 CFR 655.20(j)(1)(i).
- Return Transportation and Subsistence: Upon completion of the certified period of employment, or if the worker is dismissed early by the employer, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s return transportation and daily subsistence to the place from which the worker departed to work for the employer, consistent with 20 CFR 655.20(j)(1)(ii).
- Visa and Related Fees: During the first workweek, the employer will reimburse workers for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other fees required by law to the extent required under applicable federal regulations.
- Tools, Supplies, and Equipment: The employer will provide, without charge, all tools, supplies, equipment, and protective gear required to perform the duties assigned.
- Three-Fourths Guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer employment for at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period (or each 6-week period if the job order is less than 120 days), consistent with applicable H-2B regulations.
