(3) Job Description
Prepare, season, and cook authentic Vietnamese cuisine for restaurant guests. Prepare traditional Vietnamese dishes including soups, noodle dishes, grilled meats, rice dishes, appetizers, sauces, and specialty menu items. Prepare stocks, broths, marinades, and ingredients according to established recipes and quality standards. Maintain food quality, portion control, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards. Assist with menu planning, inventory management, food preparation, and kitchen cleaning. Follow all federal, state, and local health regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Six (6) months of experience as a cook preparing Vietnamese cuisine in a commercial food service establishment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- No education requirement.
Work Schedule
35 to 40 hours per week.
Two shifts may be scheduled between:
- 7:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- 2:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Workdays may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Schedule varies based upon occupancy and operational needs.

No travel outside the normal worksite is required.
(5) Wage Offer
Regular Wage: $17.10 - $17.50 per hour, DOE (or the applicable prevailing wage in effect during the certified period, if higher).
The employer guarantees to pay at least the highest applicable prevailing wage or the applicable Federal, State, or local minimum wage, as required by law.
(6) Overtime
Overtime may be available based on the employer’s operational needs and will be paid in accordance with applicablefederal and state law.
(7) On-the-Job Training
None/Not Applicable.
(8) Workweek
The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
(9) Pay Frequency
Workers will be paid biweekly.
(10) Board, Lodging, or Other Facilities
The employer may assist workers in locating suitable housing. Housing is not a condition of employment.
If employer-arranged housing is offered, participation is voluntary, and any charges will comply with applicable law and H-2B regulations.
(11) Payroll Deductions
The employer will make all deductions required by federal, state, and local law.
No deductions not required by law will be made unless disclosed in advance and permitted under applicable law.
(12) Transportation and Subsistence (50 Percent Rule)
Upon completion of 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse workers for transportation and daily subsistence expenses from the place from which the worker came to work for the employer, whether in the United States or abroad, to the place of employment, consistent with 20 CFR 655.20(j)(1)(i).
Daily subsistence will be provided or reimbursed at at least $16.78 per day, up to $68.00 per day with receipts, or the applicable amount established by the U.S. Department of Labor at the time payment is made.
(13) Return Transportation
Upon completion of the certified employment period, or if the worker is dismissed early by the employer, the employer will provide or pay for return transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the place from which the worker departed to work for the employer, consistent with 20 CFR 655.20(j)(1)(ii).
(14) Daily Transportation
Daily transportation is not required because work is performed at a single worksite.
(15) Visa and Related Fees
The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker during the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing,and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker, excluding passport expenses and other expenses primarily for the worker’s benefit, consistent with applicable law.
(16) Tools, Supplies, and Equipment
The employer will provide, without charge or deposit, all tools, supplies, equipment, uniforms (if required), cleaningproducts, and materials necessary to perform the job duties.
