Position Summary
KARE Masters Home Health is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Office Intake and Billing Coordinator to support home health administrative operations. This role may assist with new patient intake, insurance or payment information, referral tracking, billing support, documentation, communication, and coordination between patients, families, providers, and care staff.
This position is a strong fit for candidates with customer service, healthcare office, billing, scheduling, data entry, or administrative experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with new patient intake and referral processing.
- Collect and verify patient information, contact details, insurance information, and required documents.
- Support billing tasks, claim preparation, payment tracking, and documentation follow-up.
- Communicate with patients, families, providers, and internal staff.
- Assist with scheduling, care coordination, and office communication.
- Maintain accurate records and data entry in office systems.
- Help organize patient files, service documentation, and billing records.
- Follow confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
- Support office staff with phones, emails, faxing, scanning, filing, and general administrative tasks.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with all clients and team members.
- Complete other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Healthcare office, billing, intake, administrative, customer service, or data entry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical billing, insurance verification, home health documentation, or patient intake is helpful.
- Strong computer, phone, email, and organizational skills required.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
- Must have strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to work in an office environment.
- Must be able to complete required onboarding and background checks.
