Position Overview
Resolution Medical Billing Services Inc. (RMBS) is seeking motivated individuals interested in beginning a career in the rapidly growing healthcare revenue cycle industry. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates looking to enter the medical billing profession.
No prior medical billing experience is required. RMBS provides on-the-job training to individuals who demonstrate professionalism, strong computer skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Employees will receive training in medical billing processes, insurance payment posting, charge entry, accounts receivable management, claim corrections, and healthcare reimbursement systems.

Position Summary
The Entry-Level Medical Billing Specialist supports healthcare providers by ensuring medical claims, patient charges, and insurance payments are processed accurately and efficiently.
After completing training, employees may work in one or more Revenue Cycle Management functions, including:

Essential Job Responsibilities
Following training, responsibilities may include:
Insurance Posting

Post insurance payments accurately.

Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).

Process Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs).

Balance payment batches.
-
Apply contractual adjustments.

Process patient responsibility amounts.
Charge Entry

Enter patient charges into billing systems.

Verify patient demographic information.
-
Review physician documentation.
-
Verify CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding information.

Ensure charge accuracy before claim submission.
Accounts Receivable

Monitor unpaid insurance claims.

Follow up with insurance companies.

Research claim denials.
-
Correct rejected claims.

Resolve payment discrepancies.

Maintain aging reports.
Billing Support

Maintain accurate electronic records.

Communicate professionally with provider offices.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Medical Billing Certification preferred but not required for entry-level trainees.
