We are looking for someone who makes sure Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems are safe, fair, legal, and working properly in healthcare.
This role is not about building AI models — it’s about overseeing them.
You will help make sure AI tools:

Pass audits and compliance reviews

What You Will Do

Create and maintain AI governance policies and standards

Review AI and machine learning models for:

Bias and fairness
-
Accuracy and performance

Explainability
-
Risk exposure
-
Work with:

Help prepare documentation for regulatory audits

Monitor models for performance changes (“model drift”)

Participate in AI ethics and governance committees

Stay current on AI regulations and healthcare compliance rules
What You Need to Qualify

Bachelor’s degree in:

Data Science
-
Computer Science
-
Statistics
-
Risk Management
-
Health Informatics
-
Or related field
-
At least 3 years of experience in:

Basic understanding of:

Strong communication skills

Ability to explain technical issues in simple terms
Preferred (Nice to Have)

Experience in healthcare or health insurance

Knowledge of Model Risk Management (MRM) frameworks

Experience with AI explainability tools like SHAP or LIME

Familiarity with:

CMS regulations

FDA AI guidance

Experience in enterprise risk or internal audit

Advanced degree or certification
Estimated Pay Range (Detroit Market)
Based on O*NET data and Michigan market averages for Risk Specialists and AI Governance professionals:
Estimated Pay Range:
$95,000 – $145,000 per year
(or approximately $45 – $70 per hour for contract roles)
