About the Opportunity
CVS Health is hiring Pharmacy Interns to gain hands-on experience in a real pharmacy setting. This role is designed for pharmacy students to apply classroom knowledge, build clinical and operational skills, and prepare for a future Pharmacist role.
Key Responsibilities
Pharmacy Operations
- Assist with prescription processing, fulfillment, and workflow
- Support pharmacy stations (drop-off, production, pick-up, drive-thru)
- Ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with all SOPs
Patient Care & Service
- Provide compassionate customer service to patients
- Assist with medication-related questions (under pharmacist supervision)
- Support patient services such as immunizations (where permitted)
Clinical & Administrative Support
- Take and clarify prescriptions with prescribers (as allowed by law)
- Maintain patient records and documentation
- Assist with inventory management (stocking, returns, cycle counts)
Learning & Development
- Complete structured training roadmap and Key Learning Experiences (KLEs)
- Work with pharmacy leaders and preceptors
- Build clinical knowledge, communication skills, and pharmacy expertise
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program
- Must have or be working toward pharmacy intern/technician licensure
- Ability to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends)
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in pharmacy, retail, or customer service
- Immunization certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Physical Requirements
