Position: Talent Acquisition Specialist I
Employment Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Human Resources Director
Position Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission: To encourage a better tomorrow. Essential Duties
- Partner with hiring leaders to understand staffing needs.
- Create, post, and maintain job postings in UKG and other related systems.
- Schedule and participate in recruiting processes, including application reviews, phone screens, interviews, and onboarding coordination.
- Administer pre-employment assessments and screenings such as credit checks, background checks, bondability, Profiles XT, and drug screens.
- Maintain the Hire Term Checklist.
- Distribute Performance Development Role & Relationship Orientation, Developmental Coaching, and Performance Summaries in a timely manner.
- Manage HR information in UKG accurately and consistently.
- Assist with HR software implementation, updates, reporting, and troubleshooting related to Talent Acquisition.
- File and manage documentation, ensuring compliance with record retention schedules.
- Respond to general employee inquiries regarding Talent Acquisition.
- Travel between branches/offices as needed.
- Work hybrid with 3 in-office days, maintaining availability and communication during work hours and for in-person interviews when requested.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Deliver on the Credit Union’s Service Promises in every interaction.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the Credit Union by engaging with potential candidates via phone and other platforms.
- Assist in developing interview questions.
- Present accurate descriptions of the Credit Union’s culture, benefits, and perks during interviews.
- Ensure candidates are informed about the hiring process and next steps.
- Perform quarterly audits based on the audit schedule.
- Prepare and submit required reports (e.g., DOL, EEO).
- Collaborate with departments and provide informed, professional interactions with diplomacy and tact.
- Assist employees and leaders with interpretation of HR policies and regulations.
- Gather information to assist in decision-making that benefits the Credit Union, members, and employees.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to move or transport up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to remain stationary for 2-4 hours at a time.
Work Environment
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Routinely clean and disinfect workspaces (e.g., desks, phones, and electronic equipment).
- Protect confidentiality by securing sensitive materials when not in use.
Education and Experience
- One to three years of related experience, with HRIS experience preferred.
- (1) A two-year college degree, (2) completion of specialized certification or licensing, (3) completion of training courses, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong teamwork, listening, and technological skills.
