Position Summary
Spicer Group is looking for an individual who is capable of producing designs for a variety of projects which may include anything from sidewalk ramps and non-motorized park paths to major highways. We want to hire someone who is able to work with our passionate team of transportation engineers and support staff to create and prepare construction drawings, project cost estimates, and technical calculations. Those in this position can expect to make frequent construction site visits, attend meetings with other engineers, technicians, administration, and clients, and perform project research on topics, such as standards and guideline requirements. Job Responsibilities
Employees working this job must be detail oriented and will be expected to carry out tasks that involve problem solving to find engineering solutions. This may include encountering complex problems within plan sets involving roads, drainage, traffic, signage, sidewalk ramps, curbs, traffic maintenance and more that need resolving. The individual must be able to communicate well and work with a team throughout this process. They must also have a willingness to work outdoors on project sites to review conditions.
