Pay Range:

Hours of Work:
Part-time, assignment-based schedule with substantial flexibility required.
During active assignments, employees may work 40 or more hours per week. Individual projects typically require approximately 1–3 weeks onsite, and candidates must maintain approximately 3 weeks of open availability each month.
Hours and workdays may vary according to project schedules, hospital requirements, travel arrangements, and customer needs.

Position Summary
IQVIA is seeking an entry-level MedTech Field Service Software Technician to support medical-device technology projects at hospitals and healthcare facilities.
The technician will work with healthcare professionals and onsite project teams to install, configure, test, troubleshoot, repair, and update medical devices and related computer systems.
This position provides an opportunity for candidates with technical, electronics, IT, maintenance, biomedical, or related experience to enter or expand their experience within the medical-device industry.
The role is field-based and requires significant travel, schedule flexibility, independent work, and comfort working inside hospital and healthcare environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Travel to hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout the United States to support medical-device projects.

Organize, inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and update medical devices.

Install and configure medical-device hardware and software.

Install, configure, or assist with network-connected products and systems.

Set up equipment, devices, computers, and technical workstations.

Assemble and disassemble equipment and devices as required.

Perform routine equipment and system checks after installation or configuration.

Conduct product testing and document results.

Troubleshoot technical issues involving medical-device hardware and software.

Assist with system updates, installations, and device configuration.

Maintain organized equipment and work areas at customer sites.

Work with onsite project teams, healthcare professionals, and customer representatives.

Support project timelines and respond to customer needs.

Maintain accurate technical and project documentation.

Follow hospital, customer, and IQVIA safety and credentialing requirements.

Work independently in customer environments with limited supervision.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of related technical experience.

Experience or training in a technical field such as information technology, electronics, maintenance, field service, engineering, biomedical equipment, or similar work.

Valid and unrestricted driver's license.

Personal vehicle available for job-related assignments.

Ability to travel nationally.

Ability to travel by personal vehicle for assignments located up to approximately three hours from home.

Must live within approximately one hour of a major airport.

Basic proficiency with computer software and Microsoft operating systems.

Ability to install, configure, or troubleshoot basic hardware and software.

Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and technical devices.

Preferred Qualifications

Three or more years of experience in a field-based technical position involving hardware and software installation.

Previous field service experience.

Biomedical equipment technician experience.

Experience in engineering, electronics, electrical systems, maintenance, or information technology.

Experience installing or troubleshooting hardware, software, or network-connected equipment.

Previous experience working in hospitals or healthcare facilities.

Prior military experience in an electronics, maintenance, technical, or information technology MOS is encouraged.

Because this position requires entry into hospitals and other healthcare facilities, selected employees must meet applicable customer credentialing requirements.

Compensation
Minimum Wage: $27.00 per hour
Maximum Wage: $30.00 per hour
Actual pay may vary based on relevant skills, experience, education, location, schedule, and other job-related qualifications.
