The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise. Essential Duties
- Oversee and administer the credit union’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Compliance Risk Assessment framework
- Lead enterprise-wide and compliance risk assessments
- Evaluate inherent and residual risk and maintain key risk indicators (KRIs)
- Analyze risk data and trends and provide reporting to senior leadership and the Board
- Promote a risk-aware culture throughout the organization
- Monitor overall risk profile and emerging risks
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk appetite
- Oversee issue management and corrective action efforts
- Support leadership engagement, communication, and risk management training initiatives
- Travel for training and meetings as needed
- Hybrid position with expectation of 3 days in office and flexibility for changing work locations
- Obtain the following certifications within required timeframes:
- Credit Union Enterprise Risk Certification (CUERC) within first two years
- Certified Credit Union Compliance Officer (CUCO) within first year
- Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) within first year
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain enterprise and compliance risk assessments
- Evaluate design and effectiveness of enterprise-level and regulatory controls
- Maintain dashboards, KRIs, risk appetite statements, and risk reports
- Prepare and present periodic reporting to senior management and the Board
- Escalate significant risks and regulatory concerns appropriately
- Partner with business line leadership on strategic initiatives and remediation efforts
- Monitor regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging risks
- Support organizational change management and risk integration efforts
- Develop and deliver enterprise risk management training and awareness initiatives
- Perform other duties assigned to support business needs

- Experience with Ncontracts, Arkalytics, and Symitar preferred
- Ability to use standard office equipment
- Apply financial counseling concepts gained through FiCEP training
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move, transport, or lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to remain stationary for 2–4 hours at a time

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- 3–5 years of related experience in enterprise risk management, risk assessment development, or regulatory compliance, preferably within a financial institution
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards
- Experience developing risk assessments
