The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise by living out core values in every service contact.
Essential Duties
- Develop, manage, and grow a profitable commercial portfolio
- Drive growth through relationship-based business development
- Analyze member financial condition to determine product needs
- Serve as primary relationship owner for commercial members
- Screen opportunities for alignment with credit risk standards
- Maintain strong market presence and community relationships
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners
- Achieve individual production, growth, and relationship goals
- Deliver exceptional member experience in all interactions
- In-office role with frequent travel required
- Obtain CCUFC certification within first year
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and expand portfolio through proactive business development
- Maintain and manage a commercial sales pipeline
- Create and execute relationship management strategies
- Identify and close cross-selling opportunities (loan, deposit, treasury)
- Maintain relationships with centers of influence (CPAs, attorneys, CRE professionals)
- Participate in community and networking events
- Provide pipeline and portfolio updates to leadership
- Prepare and present credit requests for loan relationships
- Coordinate with credit and documentation teams
- Support loan reviews, renewals, and servicing activities
- Partner with internal teams for ongoing portfolio monitoring
- Maintain knowledge of products, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and accountability
- Mentor team members and support collaboration
- Complete required training and support organizational initiatives
Qualifications and Expectations
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending and risk management practices
- Proven ability to generate business through relationship-based selling
- Strong consultative selling and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated success achieving production and growth goals
- Ability to manage and convert a sales pipeline
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage complex situations and multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and lending systems
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Apply financial counseling concepts through FiCEP
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move or transport up to 25 pounds
- Able to remain stationary for 2–4 hours at a time

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial lending, portfolio management, and credit structuring
- Demonstrated success in relationship-based business development
