The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise. You will do this by living out our core values in every service contact to both internal and external members. Essential Duties
- Lead the team to maximize productivity, efficiency, and potential including hiring, onboarding, development planning, goal setting, coaching, training, and compliance
- Appraise performance and provide recommendations for compensation, promotion, and discipline
- Oversee visual standards for branch facilities and collaborate with Facilities/Marketing
- Work schedule includes Monday–Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday coverage as needed, and occasional extended hours and travel
- Successfully obtain Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation within first year
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete orientation of new employees and ensure ongoing training across all products, services, and initiatives
- Collaborate with Branch Operations Director and HR on hiring, development, and performance management
- Develop and manage department budget and monitor monthly variances
- Monitor industry trends to maintain competitive products and services
- Ensure member requests and complaints are resolved promptly
- Counsel members on financial needs and services
- Investigate and resolve member issues related to accounts and services
- Become subject matter expert in branch software and troubleshoot inquiries
- Engage in process improvement and update procedures with leadership
- Ensure all branch transactions are balanced daily and oversee cash accountability
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC
Member Relationship Representative
- Explain products and services to members and process new accounts
- Oversee audit process for new accounts
- Prepare adverse action letters when needed
General Sales Expectations
- Use Sales Champion skills and behaviors
- Build relationships with current and new members
- Oversee onboarding process for new members
- Ensure members are fully served
Other
- Answer telephones and handle member inquiries
- Process mail as required
- Attend education functions
- Maintain knowledge of credit union products and services
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations (BSA, Patriot Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Truth in Savings, Truth in Lending, etc.)
- Ability to implement new procedures effectively
- Ability to work overtime, attend meetings, and travel
- Ability to motivate and influence others while maintaining strong professional relationships
- Ability to obtain CCUFC certification and State of Michigan Credit Producers License within 6 months
- Apply financial counseling concepts through FiCEP certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move or transport up to 25 pounds
- Able to remain stationary for 2–4 hours at a time

Education and Experience
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum one year management or supervisory experience
- Minimum one year banking and/or credit union experience
- Three to five years similar or related experience
- Ability to operate a 10-key calculator and typewriter
- Strong communication skills
- Working knowledge of credit union products and services
- Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
