Job Summary
The Electrician II is responsible for intermediate technical work installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and designing electrical systems and equipment for county facilities. In addition to leading and advising staff, this position acts as the department manager in the absence of the Director of Maintenance.
Essential Functions

Install, maintain, repair, and test electrical systems and equipment.

Diagnose electrical issues and create comprehensive plans for resolution.

Guide and instruct team members on electrical matters.

Coordinate and collaborate with contractors and vendors.

Manage department operations in the absence of the Maintenance Director.

Recommend and oversee electrical-related projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate’s/Technical degree
Experience: Six or more years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience combination
Special Requirements:

State of Michigan Master Electrician License upon hire

State of Michigan Electrical Contractor's License upon hire

Obtain AHERA O&M training within six months of hire

Obtain NFPA Arc Flash Electrical Safety training within six months of hire

Valid Michigan driver's license
