Job Summary
The Electrician I performs intermediate technical work installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and consulting with a licensed electrician on designing electrical systems and equipment for county facilities. Work includes guiding team members on electrical issues, recommending projects, and coordinating with vendors. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance.
Essential Functions

Install, maintain, repair, and test electrical systems and equipment.

Diagnose electrical problems and formulate repair or replacement plans.

Provide guidance and instruction to staff on electrical issues.

Coordinate with contractors and vendors; order materials as needed.

Recommend electrical-related projects and improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate’s/Technical degree
Experience: Six or more years of related experience or equivalent education/experience combination
Special Requirements:

State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician License upon hire

State of Michigan Electrical Contractor's License upon hire

Obtain AHERA O&M training within six months of hire

Obtain NFPA Arc Flash Electrical Safety training within six months of hire

Valid Michigan driver's license
