Do you love classic cars and want to learn how high-quality automotive bodywork is created? That’s Minor Customs is looking for a motivated Entry-Level Automotive Body Technician / Body Shop Apprentice who is ready to learn through hands-on, on-the-job training.
No prior professional body-shop experience is required. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, pays close attention to detail, and wants to build a career restoring classic and vintage vehicles.
We’re a friendly, close-knit team specializing in premium, collector-quality classic, vintage, custom, and muscle cars. Our shop stands above the rest because we hold ourselves to a high standard of craftsmanship—and we have a lot of fun doing what we love.

What You’ll Learn and Do
- Assist experienced body technicians with classic-vehicle restoration
- Help disassemble and reassemble body panels, trim, and related components
- Clean, sand, and prepare panels and parts for bodywork
- Learn proper body-filler, glazing, and block-sanding techniques
- Assist with surfacing and primer preparation
- Learn how to fit, align, and gap doors, hoods, trunks, and fenders
- Help identify dents, rust, panel damage, and previous repairs
- Develop basic metalworking, welding, and fabrication skills
- Learn how to create straight panels and consistent body lines
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
- Follow all shop safety procedures and use protective equipment
- Work carefully around valuable and one-of-a-kind vehicles
- Complete assigned training and continue developing body-repair skills
