Do you have an eye for detail and take pride in making an automotive finish look flawless? That’s Minor Customs is looking for an experienced Show-Car Finish Specialist who is highly skilled in wet sanding, buffing, polishing, paint correction, and final detailing.
We’re a friendly, close-knit team specializing in premium, collector-quality classic, vintage, custom, and muscle cars. Our shop stands above the rest because we hold ourselves to a high standard of craftsmanship—and we have a lot of fun doing what we love.
This position is for someone who understands the patience and precision required to bring a painted vehicle from good to truly show-quality. If making incredible vehicles look their absolute best sounds like your dream job, this may be the place for you.
Responsibilities
- Wet-sand painted surfaces to prepare them for buffing and polishing
- Cut, buff, and polish fresh paint to achieve a show-quality finish
- Perform multi-stage paint correction
- Remove surface imperfections such as orange peel, dirt nibs, scratches, haze, oxidation, and swirl marks
- Protect body lines, edges, trim, and sensitive areas while sanding and polishing
- Inspect finishes under proper lighting to identify defects
- Perform final exterior detailing and presentation work
- Clean wheels, glass, trim, chrome, and exterior surfaces
- Apply waxes, sealants, and other approved protective products
- Keep pads, compounds, tools, and equipment clean and organized
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Work carefully around valuable and one-of-a-kind vehicles
- Communicate finish concerns and job progress to the team
