Advantage Technical is partnering with a leading global automotive OEM to place a Quality/Manufacturing Engineer in Dearborn, MI. If you're a hands-on quality or manufacturing professional with a sharp eye for supplier performance and a track record in automotive launches, this is a high-impact role on the plant floor that matters.
Job Duties (What You'll Do!):
Lead APQP and PPAP execution aligned with program timelines
Serve as the on-site technical lead for troubleshooting, containment, and corrective action
Drive supplier compliance with quality, delivery, capacity, and warranty standards
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and supplier leadership
Conduct manufacturing feasibility assessments to support launch readiness
Analyze supplier performance data to support sourcing and quality decisions
Ensure zero production disruptions due to supplier-related issues
Requirements (What You Need to Succeed!):
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
3-5+ years in advanced manufacturing or quality within interior commodities (seats, IP, consoles, door panels, headliners, restraints)
Hands-on experience with stamping, welding, molding, or automated assembly processes
Proven PPAP, APQP, and root cause analysis skills
Ability to travel to supplier sites up to 70%
Six Sigma or Lean certification a plus; Q1 knowledge preferred
