RECREATION ASSISTANT – FARMERS’ MARKET
Pay Scale: $14.34 - $16.84 per hour
General Summary: This position assists in the on-site operations of the seasonal farmers’ market. Works under the general direction of the Recreation Coordinators to plan, coordinate, and implement market-related activities for our community. Assists the Recreation Coordinators with market set up and tear down, supply ordering, program advertisement, and
additional tasks as assigned. Develops and evaluates programs requiring a high degree of personal motivation, initiation, and independent judgement.
Minimum Requirements: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have completed high school or equivalent. Experience in planning and organizing activities and events is preferred. Must have the ability to work early mornings and weekends. Must be able to work successfully with co-workers, volunteers, participants, and the general public. Must provide
own transportation, possess a valid Michigan driver’s license, and have an excellent driving record.
Hours per week: Not to exceed twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
