SEASONAL MAINTENANCE WORKER – STREET DEPARTMENT
Pay Scale: $14.34 - $16.84 per hour
General Summary: Under the direction of an employee of a higher classification, performs
limited entry-level and semi-skilled labor tasks in the construction and maintenance of public
streets, facilities, and equipment. Operates a variety of hand and small power tools, light duty
trucks, and power-driven equipment. Performs cleaning, lawn maintenance, and other routine
maintenance tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements: Education equivalent to completion of eleventh (11th) grade and at
least six (6) months general laborer experience, or equivalent combination of education and
experience; possession of valid Michigan driver’s license and safe driving record.
Hours per Week: Varies based on position.
Employment Duration: Not to exceed nine (9) months, depending on hours worked
