Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our team that is moving into Wallace, MI. The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to manufacture precision components according to specifications. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand the machining requirements.
- Operate CNC machines, including loading materials and tooling as per job instructions.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and identify any deviations from the desired parameters.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to achieve accurate dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacing worn or damaged tooling.
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to optimize machining processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including setup and run times, tool changes, and any issues encountered during machining.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining is a plus.
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar machining role is preferred
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments to inspect and verify workpiece dimensions.
- Attention to detail and quality, ensuring precision in manufacturing.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy materials.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing production demands.
