Seeking-Experienced, reliable live-in seasonal cook & housekeeper to join a family owned seasonal business. Ideal candidate has good time management skills,is upbeat, friendly, and comfortable working in an independent setting and ServSafe certified, or willing to become.
Dates- May- Mid-October
Location- Mackinac Island, MI
Schedule:
- Live in position- private bedroom, shared bathroom and boat fares provided.
- Typical hours- 4 to 5 days per week- 35-45 hours per week
- 2 to 3 days off per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious meals for employees.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization; manage food inventory and meal costs.
- General housekeeping: laundry/linen care, vacuuming/sweeping, dusting and tidying common areas and communal bathrooms.
- Maintain household supplies and notify employer of low-stock items.
- Occasional help with errands, grocery shopping and stocking cold lunch bar.
- Adhere to household rules, respect privacy and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements:
- ServSafe certified or the ability to become- at employers expense.
- Short-order cooking experience preferred.
- Strong cooking skills; comfortable with family style daily dinner, short-order breakfast, cold lunch bar management/fulfillment and occasional baking.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to details.
- Ability to pass background check and provide references.
