Position Title: Technical Support Specialist
Classification: USW – Technician Group
Reports To: Director of Technology
Position Type: Full-Time, 260-Day Position
Rate of Pay: $21.21 per hour
Opening: One (1) position available
General Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Technology, the Technical Support Specialist provides support and maintenance for personal computer systems, peripherals, and associated technology across Saginaw ISD and its partnering locations.
Essential Job Responsibilities

Assist with maintenance of hardware and software across devices including:

Printers, scanners, document cameras, projectors, sound systems, interactive devices, desktop/laptop PCs, Chrome OS devices, iOS/Android tablets, and telephony equipment

Support device/user management systems, image development/deployment, and desktop security software

Travel regularly to various Saginaw ISD and partner sites

Maintain daily logs in the help desk database

Deliver positive and helpful customer service experiences

Contribute to a collaborative, team-based work environment

Perform other related duties as assigned by department leadership
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
-
High school diploma or GED with 60 hours of college coursework in technology (or equivalent) required

Associate’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field preferred

Minimum of three (3) years' experience maintaining and installing networked computer systems
-
Proficiency in Windows 7/10, Google Chrome OS, and Apple iPadOS platforms required

Experience in K–12 education settings preferred but not required

Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse users of varying tech proficiency

Team-oriented with a commitment to collaborative decision-making
-
Capable of working independently, organizing, and prioritizing tasks effectively

Must maintain confidentiality at all times

Physical ability to lift and move equipment as needed
