Rate of Pay: $12.48 per hour
Schedule: 35 hours per week
Start Date: Upon expiration of the posting deadline and in accordance with Article XIII, Section C, 2 of the USW Contract
Opening: One (1) position available
Primary Functions
This position supports the food service program by performing daily meal preparation and cleanup duties, and by supporting student participation and sanitation practices as directed by supervisory staff.
Essential Skills and Responsibilities

Set up dish area for lunch service.

Assist with the computerized cash register and monitor student/staff data entry during breakfast and lunch.

Wash and store lunch dishes, utensils, and equipment following meals.

Provide guidance and support to work experience students.

Assist with general housekeeping duties as needed.

Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student, staff, and parent information.

Demonstrate a positive attitude when working with students, families, staff, and community members.

Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Work Team.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Familiarity with food service program operations.
-
Ability to follow and demonstrate proper sanitation and safety practices (must complete an approved sanitation/safety course).

Preferred: Basic computer/keyboard skills.

Ability to work effectively as a team member.
-
Good oral and written communication skills.
-
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
-
Willingness to complete additional training to improve skills.
