Contract Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Carson City Correctional Facility – Carson City, MI
Pay: $64.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Rotating weekends and holidays

Overview:
Care One, a trusted Michigan-based staffing agency for over 30 years, is hiring Registered Nurses for overnight shifts at Carson City Correctional Facility. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care in a secure setting while serving an underserved population.
Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Conduct routine health screenings and develop individualized care plans

Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care support

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Educate patients on treatments and health management
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation
-
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Comply with all correctional facility security and safety protocols
Qualifications:
-
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
-
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
-
Strong clinical, assessment, and documentation skills

Experience with venipuncture and IV therapy preferred

Comfortable working within correctional healthcare settings

Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities

High level of integrity and confidentiality
