Contract General Dentist
Location: Muskegon Correctional Facility – Muskegon, MI
Pay: $127.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM–3:00 PM | No weekends or holidays

Overview:
Care One Inc., a Michigan-based staffing leader for over 30 years, is seeking a licensed General Dentist to provide essential dental care to incarcerated individuals at the Muskegon Correctional Facility. This is a full-time, contract opportunity for a compassionate and experienced dental professional who can work effectively within a secure and structured environment.
Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive oral exams to assess and diagnose dental diseases, injuries, and abnormalities

Perform restorations, extractions, and root removals as necessary

Fabricate and fit dentures and other dental appliances

Place dental implants where indicated

Suture facial and oral lacerations

Prescribe medications for pain, infection, or other oral health conditions

Document assessments, procedures, and treatments accurately and in compliance with policy

Collaborate with on-site healthcare and custody staff to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications:

DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school

Current, unrestricted Dental License in the state of Michigan

Minimum 2 years of experience in general dentistry

Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)

Strong diagnostic, procedural, and patient management skills

Comfortable working with diverse populations and within a correctional setting

Reliable, ethical, and able to maintain confidentiality and composure in a secure environment
