Contract Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Kinross Correctional Facility – Kincheloe, MI
Pay: $46.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Rotating Weekends

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive health assessments on incarcerated individuals

Monitor and document changes in patient health status with precision

Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accuracy in dosage and documentation

Provide immediate response and care during medical emergencies until higher-level medical personnel arrive

Educate inmates on health promotion and preventive care practices

Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care

Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation of all patient interactions

Adhere strictly to all security protocols while delivering healthcare in a correctional setting
Qualifications:

Graduate of a state-approved Licensed Practical Nurse program

Current, valid LPN license in the state of Michigan

Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Strong assessment, documentation, and patient management skills

Ability to work effectively with a diverse population within a secure facility

Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
