Location: Newberry Correctional Facility – Newberry, MI
Pay: $55.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | No weekends or holidays

Overview:
Care One Inc., a leading Michigan-based staffing agency for over 30 years, is seeking Master’s-level Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) to join the clinical team at Newberry Correctional Facility. In this essential role, you will provide vital mental health services to incarcerated individuals, supporting their rehabilitation and well-being.
Responsibilities:

Evaluate referrals and assess treatment needs for individuals with mental illness or disabilities

Facilitate group therapy sessions including psychoeducation, psychosocial skills, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)

Provide specialized therapy such as Sex Offender Treatment, Assaultive Offender Therapy, and Substance Use Disorder Treatment

Deliver individual therapy in accordance with established treatment plans

Conduct re-entry needs assessments and assist with placement planning post-release

Monitor behavior and make recommendations regarding changes in treatment level

Work collaboratively with the treatment team

Coordinate care to meet treatment goals and ensure compliance with protocols

Maintain clear and compliant documentation

Respond to correspondence as required by facility standards
Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution

Licensed as an LCSW, LPC, or Psychologist in the state of Michigan

Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)

Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and case management skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Proficient in English
