Job Summary
The Detention Youth Care Specialist is responsible for the direct supervision, guidance, treatment, and care of detained residents. Emphasis is placed on observation, interpersonal relationships, group processes, recreation, personal hygiene, and security, all in accordance with agency policies and procedures. The role also involves documenting residents' behavior through written reports. Continuous professional development through organized staff training programs is expected.
