GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under the general supervision of the Food Services Supervisor, may prepare food items as assigned; keeps utensils, equipment and kitchen clean and sanitary; washes dishes, pots and pans; portions, packages and labels congregate and home delivered meals. Assists at various senior centers, meal program sites and scratch kitchens in the senior nutrition program with duties as needed. Assists center coordinator with activities, serving of meals and related clean-up activities. Must be available for evening shifts for the nutrition program
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or G.E.D. Experience in food service and preparation is desirable. Knowledge of large scale food preparation, food quality, measurements, and sanitation. Food preparation skills. Ability to communicate with people effectively and follow verbal instructions. Ability to read and comprehend directions. Ability to understand people from all social/economic and cultural backgrounds. Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force, which is an essential part of the daily duties.
INDIVIDUAL MUST SUCCESSFULLY PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST.
