The Advance Group is hiring 2 Assembly Test Technicians for a direct-hire manufacturing opportunity in Monroe, MI. This hands-on position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, mechanical assembly experience, and problem-solving skills.

As an Assembly Test Technician, you will work independently across mechanical assembly, hydrostatic testing, and performance testing. You’ll use technical drawings, equipment manuals, procedures, and specialized testing equipment to assemble and test industrial equipment.

What Does an Assembly Test Technician Do?

In this role, you will:

• Perform mechanical assembly using technical drawings, manuals, procedures, and specifications
• Conduct hydrostatic testing to verify equipment performance and quality
• Perform performance testing using specialized testing equipment
• Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, manuals, and procedures
• Use precision measuring equipment, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic tools
• Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and lift platforms
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing work area
• Assist with shop maintenance, cleaning, and other assigned production duties
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and work independently to complete assigned tasks

Assembly Test Technician Requirements

To be successful in this manufacturing technician role, you should have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of general assembly, mechanical assembly, or manufacturing experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and mechanical problem-solving skills
• Ability to quickly learn new equipment, processes, and procedures
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to organize work, follow production schedules, and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
• Valid driver's license
