Position: Secondary Math & History Teacher
Location: Merrill Middle/High School
Reports To: Middle/High School Principal

Position Summary:
The Secondary Math & Social Studies Teacher delivers well-rounded instruction spanning both quantitative and humanities-based disciplines. This role bridges analytical logic in mathematics with critical thinking, research, and civic literacy in history and social sciences.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must hold a valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate (Grades 6–12 or 7–12) with an endorsement in Mathematics (EX).
- Preferred secondary endorsement in Social Studies (RX / CQ) or History (CC / RC).
- Additional preferred endorsements in core subject areas are welcome.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong classroom management, and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and students.
- Must satisfactorily pass all required pre-employment screenings, including:
- Criminal Background Check
- Unprofessional Conduct Background Check (PA 189)
- Personal and Professional Reference Checks
