The Advance Group has partnered with an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of returnable racks and dunnage solutions for the automotive industry. They are currently seeking dependable and motivated MIG Welders to join their growing team in Petersburg, MI.
Job Description for Welder
As a MIG Welder, you will fabricate and assemble automotive racks and metal structures using welding equipment, hand tools, and measuring devices. Team members are expected to maintain quality standards, follow safety procedures, and help ensure products meet customer specifications.
Responsibilities of Welder
- Perform MIG welding on automotive racks and metal components
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to specifications
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect parts and finished products for quality and accuracy
- Identify defects or inconsistencies in materials, equipment, or production processes
- Use hand and power tools as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications for Welder
- 1–3 years of MIG welding experience preferred
- Recent welding graduates are encouraged to apply
- Must be able to pass a weld test
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to read measurements and follow specifications
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices
Schedule for Welder
1st Shift
- Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Optional Saturday: 7:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Pay for Welder
- Starting pay: $19.00/hour
- Full-time opportunity
- Optional overtime available
