Material Area Supervisor - Temp Position

We are hiring a Material Area Supervisor for a fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility in Sterling Heights, MI. This temporary position is ideal for candidates with leadership skills, warehouse or manufacturing experience, and a strong focus on safety, productivity, and team development.
Responsibilities
Lead hourly material handling and warehouse teams in a union manufacturing environment
Coordinate unloading, storage, and delivery of materials to support production
Monitor safety, quality, productivity, and inventory accuracy
Support daily operations and improve material flow processes
Train and develop team leaders and production employees
Maintain strong communication with management and union employees
Implement continuous improvement and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) practices
Help drive efficiency and reduce operational costs
Qualifications
0-3 years of supervisory, manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics experience
Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced production setting
