Under the direction of the administrator, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the STEM Consultant and Coach assists districts with professional learning, coaching, and on-site implementation of curriculum, assessment, and instructional practices within an MTSS framework.
- Serve as a resource to constituents by providing technical assistance with planning, evaluation, and implementation of STEM curriculum and instruction based on student assessment data.
- Plan, organize and provide district and school level professional development and technical assistance related to supporting early and secondary STEM core curriculum, instruction, research-based interventions and assessment practices, including diagnostic, process and outcome assessments.
- Keep abreast of federal and state mandates related to core curricular areas and assessment practices that impact local school districts, specifically the required testing in grades K-12 in the areas of STEM and aligned with the standards.
