Product Engineer
Location: Dearborn, MI
Pay Rate: $42.31 per hour
Work Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite; potential increase to 5 days)
We are seeking a highly organized Product Engineer to lead cross-functional teams and workstreams responsible for on-time delivery of propulsion controls software. This role partners closely with software planning, integration, validation, calibration, and project controls teams to manage complex software release cycles across multiple programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and lead propulsion controls software release plans aligned to program milestones
Coordinate with project controls to understand timing, hardware requirements, and program complexity
Create feature-by-phase plans, application plans, and validation plans for each software release
Manage Agile software delivery using Jira, including participation in daily stand-ups and scrum ceremonies
Track late changes through formal change control processes and ensure timely delivery of approved updates
Collaborate with integration and validation teams to manage plans, defect resolution, and bug fixes
Lead component and software review meetings to communicate status, risks, and delivery commitments
Maintain application planning tools and ensure issue tracking remains current and accurate
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering
Strong program planning, project management, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Experience working in Agile software development environments
Ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and drive issues to resolution
