Position: Business Architect – Company-to-Dealer Systems Modernization
Overview:
Join our Company-to-Dealer Systems Modernization team and help shape the future of how Ford Dealers interact with Ford Motor Company. We’re seeking a strategic thinker who can bridge business and technology domains, translating complex concepts into actionable insights. If you’re passionate about customer journey mapping, enterprise roadmaps, and driving innovation across architecture domains, this role is for you.
You’ll leverage your IT architecture expertise and analytical skills to design Ford’s systems and process environment using industry-leading methodologies. This position requires a proven ability to lead organizational change, foster innovation, and communicate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain business architecture strategies and roadmaps across business, information, application, and technology domains.
- Translate technical concepts into business-centric language and visually communicate architecture artifacts.
- Facilitate value stream mapping, process analysis, and capability modeling.
- Drive consensus and adoption of architectural frameworks and methodologies.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
- Experience:4+ years as an architect on large-scale product or enterprise initiatives.
- 5+ years progressive IT experience; 3+ years in a specialized domain.
- Strong understanding of Business Architecture and its strategic impact.
- Ability to model capabilities, processes, and data using frameworks like BizBok, Zachman, or TOGAF.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous, evolving environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
- 3+ years in business process analysis and design, including BPMN modeling.
- Experience with Ford IT architecture processes and tools (e.g., Ins-pi).
- Familiarity with Agile Product Delivery, including participation in release trains.
- Strong relationship-building skills across organizational boundaries.
- Innovative problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking.
