About the Role (Plain-Language Summary)
Apex Home Healthcare is seeking a licensed Speech Therapist to provide in-home therapy and communication support to clients in the Plymouth and Metro Detroit area. This role focuses on helping clients improve speech, swallowing, cognition, and overall communication abilities while remaining comfortably at home.
What This Work Looks Like Day-to-Day

Travel to clients’ homes to conduct speech, communication, swallowing, or cognitive assessments

Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans

Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to each client’s goals

Educate family members and caregivers on home-based communication strategies

Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and document clinical notes

Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, PT/OT staff, and care coordinators

Maintain professionalism, compassion, and client dignity during all home visits

Support clients recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, developmental conditions, or speech impairments

Education & Requirements

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Current Michigan SLP license

ASHA CCC-SLP strongly preferred

Home-care or outpatient experience is a plus

Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills

Reliable transportation to conduct home visits

Ability to pass background check, credentials verification, and drug screening
