This is a critical role supporting key application and formulation development for customer and internal innovation projects. The Application Scientist manages the technical relationship with specific Dietary Supplement and Pharmaceutical customers, helping grow the business and develop a pipeline of opportunities.

Where You'll Make a Difference
Identify, assess, develop and modify new product or application concepts and technologies to solve customer challenges
Manage application development projects focused on innovation and cost improvements aligned with regional and global strategies
Implement standards across projects and communicate progress and outcomes
Ensure thorough documentation of technical development plans, risks, compliance, and product-related materials
Serve as a technical resource to sales, customers, and internal/external partners including contract manufacturers, regulatory, and operations
Translate product data into effective marketing and sales tools and provide technical training as needed
Provide formulation solutions for formats such as capsules, sticks/sachets, bulk powders, oil drops, tablets, and more
Design and execute experiments from benchtop to pilot scale, including hygroscopic evaluation, powder characteristics, and tablet/capsule formation
Support product commercialization from formulation through pilot plant and finished format solutions
Build and maintain internal and external networks with global Application, R&D, Regulation, Quality, Suppliers, and Contract ManufacturersWhat Makes You the Right Fit
Master's degree with 7+ years or PhD with 4+ years in Pharmaceutical or Food Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences
Proven track record in dietary supplement or pharmaceutical formulation and technical service/product development, especially with probiotics
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis
Deep technical knowledge of products and applications
Project management experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work autonomously while being a collaborative team player
Willingness to travel globally up to 15%How Would You Stand Out?
Experience with probiotic powders
Deep understanding of formats, raw material suppliers, and grades for dietary supplement/pharmaceutical applications
Experience in manufacturing environments and regulatory requirements
Knowledge of packaging materials and analytical methods
Practical experience scaling up processes from lab to commercial scale
