Position: Consumer Loan Processor I
Employment Status: Grade 5 / Non-Exempt
Reports to: Consumer Lending Leader
Position Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise. You will do this by living out our core values in every service contact to both internal and external members. Essential Duties

Maintain continuing education on consumer Federal and State regulations and remain in compliance.

Maintain and develop a strong product knowledge base.

Perform specialized clerical functions as required.

Fund all consumer loans through Lending 360.
-
Process Indirect Loans per Indirect Funding instructions.

Successfully obtain Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation within the first year.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Deliver on the Credit Union’s Service Promises in every situation.

Inform new and potential members about MFCU products and services.
-
Provide professional and courteous service to coworkers, members, and dealer partners.

Prepare and process loan documents through Origence Lending 360, Allegro Indirect, or Symitar.

Obtain and verify proof of income and insurance; secure signatures and documents for liens and agreements.

Set up electronic transfers or payment books for Indirect deals.

Process dealer payments, insurance, financial institution payments, and mail.

Manage and update validated titles and process title documentation.

Upload mail-in dealer deals to Allegro; send welcome letters post-funding.

Complete Loan Processing service events and LSI ticket requests in Synapsys.

Handle GAP/Insurance claim checks; update loan records and logs.

Weekly: zero balance loans report and lien release processing.

Audit Skip-A-Pay processed by Loan Officers and completed consumer loans.

Monitor dealer loan report and perform daily loan audits.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

At least one year of financial institution experience required.

One to twelve months of similar or related experience preferred.

Working knowledge of loan processing and credit analysis.

Proficiency with 10-key calculators, typewriters, Adobe, and Microsoft Office.
