Position: Member Service Representative I
Employment Status: Pay Grade 4 / Non-Exempt
Reports to: Branch Leader
Position Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union in delivering on its mission, vision, and brand promise. You will do this by living out our core values in every service contact with both internal and external members. Essential Duties

Receive and process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, transfers, and loan payments

Assist with account maintenance and changes

Collaborate with branch staff to cross-sell products and increase member share of wallet

Ensure all security and compliance procedures are followed

Work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with rotating Saturday hours and occasional evening meetings or trainings

Obtain Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) certification within the first year
Duties and Responsibilities

Identify additional products or services that meet member needs

Contact delinquent members for payment reminders

Meet or exceed sales and service expectations

Handle member inquiries about accounts, statements, and transactions

Process check orders and issue Visa Gift/Travel Cards and money orders

Collect applicable service fees

Answer phones and manage incoming mail

Provide administrative support to other departments

Participate in monthly developmental coaching sessions

Build and deepen member relationships by identifying needs and offering relevant solutions

Actively participate in promotional campaigns and initiatives

Support onboarding of new members

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum of 1 year of related experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Familiarity with credit union systems and services preferred

Co-Op student requirements may override experience
