HL Mando America Corporation has an opening for the position of Verification Engineer IV (Ref# VE528DM).
Work Location: 5230 S. Carter Rd., Auburn, MI 48611. Position requires up to 20% domestic travel.
Job Duties: Responsible for verification activities for EMB (electro-mechanical braking) project development. Interface to the stakeholders of the project, create test plans and test cases to verify system and software requirements. Create stakeholder documentation and deliverable for traceability and verification results. Assist in debugging of deficiencies found during verification. Participate in project development team meetings. Create test cases for system and software requirements related to automotive chassis systems. Create system and component integration test plans for automotive chassis systems. Develop and commission HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) equipment for EMB testing. Develop, adjust, and update test planning documents, integration and qualification, and test specifications. Create test cases and automation scripts and execute EMB tests. Adhere to standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, and IATF 16949 and the application to the automotive industry. Prepare materials for technical discussions with management as well as customers. Facilitate and create regression test plans when changes are processed. Participate in DFMEA (design failure mode and effect analysis) creation related to automotive chassis systems. Facilitate reviews of verification plans, specs, and results. Create defects when required from failed test results. Participate in debugging of defects found during verification. Use of CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, dSPACE, MATLAB, Simulink, PTC Integrity, DOORS, Python, and MS Office.
Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Quality Engineer, Product Engineer, or related experience. Position requires 3 years of experience with ISO 26262, ASPICE, and Python. 40hrs/week.
