HL Mando America Corporation has multiple openings for the position of Controls Engineer II (Ref# CE612MJ).
Work Location: 5230 S. Carter Rd., Auburn, MI 48611.
Job Duties: Responsible for supporting the controls team in developing control algorithms for the automotive products that are being developed. Develop software modules to implement the algorithms. Develop requirement traceability and test requirements. Conduct module level testing to satisfy the requirements. Model systems and sub-system dynamics and create robust controls designs. Design and develop algorithms. Improve and rectify issues with the vehicle control systems. Develop algorithms for safe operation and protection of drive system (OHP, OLP, etc.). Develop diagnostics and protection mechanisms. Develop and test the control modules to ensure requirements are met. Provide production support, developing new control algorithms as needed. Perform stability analysis to ensure various operating modes of the vehicle. Work with customers to ensure stable and safe system operation. Help in identifying solutions to the problems encountered. Support new programs control needs. Use of ISO 26262, CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, MATLAB, Simulink, CAN, C/C++, and Python.
Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Systems Engineer, Graduate Teaching/Research Assistant, or related experience. Will accept a Master’s degree plus 6 months of experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 6 months of experience with control algorithms. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
