SUMMARY
Delivers and sets up food and catering orders in an efficient, timely and pleasant manner.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The Driver reports to the Director of Food Service and may receive direction from the Head Cook and/or building principal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must have regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
- Loads and unloads truck, picking, rotating and storing stock.
- Load truck and safely deliver goods or other items to school district facilities maintaining the established delivery schedule.
- Load truck, safely deliver and set up catering orders.
- Maintain assigned vehicle(s) in orderly fashion, requesting mechanical attention as needed.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Must successfully complete APS required training.
- Must comply with all APS rules, policies and procedures.
- Provide support to other positions as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training.
- Experience working as a truck driver and/or in a shipping receiving position, preferred.
- Clear driving record for safety purposes.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver’s license.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
A good driving record is required. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
