Aptiv seeks Resident Engineer in Troy, MI.

Function as technical interface between customers and Aptiv internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain fast and efficient communication with customer teams. Cascade customer requirements to Aptiv internal teams and coordinate internal activities to ensure product development is in compliance with customer technical requirements and milestones. Utilize product development, ASPICE V-Model, and agile scrum methods. Prepare test plans and procedures in Polarion for different type of release. Perform testing at various customer sites on vehicles, Bread Boards, and Yellow boards. Execute tests on bench setup to analyze results and report bugs internally. Support software updates at various program milestones, in order to ensure ECU compatibility with the vehicle architecture and program milestone(s). Provide issue resolution by collecting and analyzing logs from vehicles and/or test benches to provide a root cause and preventive action at different vehicle build milestones (DCV – MP2 including End-of-Line). Responsible for creating customer release package and delivering to customer(s) at each program milestone. Provide technical presentations, both internally and externally, detailing technical content. Participate and lead internal and customer Technical Design Reviews, Root cause and PCA meetings. Support Project management and seat plant integration teams. Utilize knowledge of systems activities including requirement elicitation, requirement analysis, system acceptance testing, change request management and product delivery. Write scripts for reflash and verification of software, in order to support updates for both internal and customer usage. Estimate time and effort needed by the team in order to effectively prioritize and efficiently complete tasks.
