Are you interested in positively impacting students’ lives? We are seeking candidates for a collaborative, energetic, and innovative Lifelong Wellness Instructor (One-Year Appointment). The instructor is needed to teach the following courses:
- LW 220W Lifelong Wellness
- LW 221W Fitness and Wellness
- LW 222 Science of Nutrition and Exercise
- LW 223W Wellness Tech Trades
- LW 206A, LWA 206B, LWA 206C Occupational Wellness
- LWT 231W Introduction to Athletic Training
- LWA Courses
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (Exercise Science or Nutrition Related)
- Ability to teach on multiple Delta Campuses, evenings, weekends, online, synchronous, and asynchronous
Additional Experiences Considered
- American Council on Exercise Group Fitness Instructor (ACE GFI)
- National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA CPT)
- Registered Dietician (RD)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Saver First Aid Instructor Certification
- Athletic Trainer Certified
- Health Coach Certification
- 4,000 hours equivalent work experience
- Ability to lead group exercise
- Teaching experience at Community College Level
- Experience working with non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds and with varying academic skills
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a committee, learning community, grant project, or other related education-based group that requires collegiality and teamwork
