Description
Salary: Starting at $80,000, with potential earnings up to $115,000
Primary Responsibility
Responsible for all clinical, operational, and management functions of Westlund Guidance Clinic (WGC), ensuring that the clinic’s mission and purpose are reflected in all operations. Provides leadership and oversight for all programs and services offered through the clinic.
Essential Job Functions
- Compile and analyze operational and performance information for the Clinic, reporting to the CCO.
- Ensure quality assurance activities are in place to maintain service quality and monitor utilization.
- Provide clinical supervision or guidance to clinical staff, interns, and contractors.
- Offer administrative supervision and support to intake and front office staff.
- Oversee compliance with WGC contracts, including those with SCCMHA and CMHCM.
- Coordinate CARF accreditation compliance for the Clinic.
- Consult with the CCO on financial planning, program planning, marketing, and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate recruitment, screening, and selection of new staff.
- Train staff on the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and maintain system use.
- Review and approve clinical documentation for staff.
- Assist in resolving billing inquiries with contract payors and insurance companies.
- Participate actively in SVRC's and WGC's safety committees, overseeing safety for staff and clients.
- Develop and review performance objectives and outcomes for the Clinic.
- Provide informational support to the WGC and SVRC Boards of Directors.
- Facilitate professional development and growth for staff.
- Attend meetings with contractors/payers (e.g., SCCMHA, BCBS) as requested.
- Represent the agency in the community through presentations, event participation, and marketing.
- Advocate with legislators and local leaders to promote and protect mental health services for children and adults.
- Establish and maintain relationships with other providers and payer entities.
- Ensure adherence to professional ethical guidelines and compliance with the Michigan Mental Health Code.
Marginal Job Functions
- Provide direct services to clients at the Clinic, including trauma support, as needed or requested.
- Serve as HIPAA Privacy Officer for the Clinic.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.
- Appropriate licensure from the State of Michigan.
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience, with five years in supervisory or administrative roles.
- Proficiency in computer and word processing skills.
- Knowledge of clinical assessments and EMR systems, along with utilization review expertise.
- Demonstrated integrity, character, and patience.
