Job Summary
TYLin | Greeley and Hansen seeks a Wastewater Process Engineer to join our dynamic Design Center team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainability. Experience with wastewater treatment plant simulation software, including GPS-X and/or BioWin, is required.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct detailed analyses of wastewater treatment systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Prepare detailed engineering plans and specifications for wastewater projects.
Design and develop wastewater treatment systems, including the selection and sizing of equipment, calculations, and process modelling.
Design and implement innovative solutions to enhance wastewater treatment processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of new technologies and processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to wastewater treatment processes for various clients.
Participate in assignments as a member of a team, sometimes in a lead role in particular areas of expertise, including peer mentorship of design and consulting staff.
Presentation of project deliverables to clients.
Supervise, delegate, direct, coach, and mentor junior technical staff.
Assist with development of qualification packages and proposals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required. MS. Degree preferred.
5+years of relevant experience in wastewater process engineering and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education;
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and wastewater treatment processes.
Experience with process modeling software and data analysis tools is a required.
Certifications, Licenses: Professional Engineering (PE) licensure and ability to become licensed in other states is preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
