We are looking for:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and administration of desktop and server systems within our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of hardware and software configurations, as well as excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues efficiently. The Desktop and Server Technician will collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our computing infrastructure.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Install, configure and maintain desktop and server hardware and software systems
Perform system upgrades, patches and installation as necessary
Provide walk-in support to end-users: diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, servers and peripherals, supporting hardware and software, as needed.
Respond to service requests and provide technical support to end-users via phone, e-mail, teams or in person
Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues
Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats
Manage user accounts, permissions and access rights
Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, troubleshooting steps and auditing inventory
Collaborate with other IT Teams members to implement and support IT projects and initiatives
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to desktop and server systems
We encourage you to apply if possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
Experience with server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Hyper-V)
Strong communication skills both written and spoken
Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc)
Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy and other directory services

High School Diploma Required
4 years of Experience supporting internal customers, troubleshooting, and resolving various IT issues from desktops to servers.
