Dental Office Coordinator – This full time (40 hour) position will primarily be responsible for all aspects of dental office operations and clerical duties. When required, assists the dentist in procedures done routinely in a general dental practice. Performs receptionist, chair-sided four handed assisting, infection control and record keeping. Provides dental care in accordance with Indian Health Service (HIS) and tribal priorities/guidelines. Provides dental health education with emphasis on prevention.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Either a minimum of five years combined experience as a dental office coordinator and four-handed dentistry chairside assistant in a prevention oriented practice or a minimum of two years’ experience in both dental office administration and four-handed dental chairside assisting and either registration or licensure as a dental assistant in the State of Michigan. Knowledge of all areas of dental office administration and care, materials and procedures consistent with required education and experience; ADA dental codes; business English, proper spelling, grammar and punctuation; records management and basic accounting procedures including budgeting.
Wage: Negotiable or dependent upon qualifications.
